Privacy Policy

1. Using Serena without an account

The app is free to use and does not require registration, a name, email address, phone number or password. It has no advertising, in-app purchases or paid subscriptions.

The app does not include advertising or third-party analytics tools. This does not mean that using a network service involves no data processing: the flows below are needed for server access, connections and support.

2. Server access

The updated app uses the server catalog and VPN nodes managed for Serena VPN by GABRY GAMES SRL. It includes an initial server list and, after you accept the first-launch disclosure, can refresh that list over an encrypted connection from our catalog endpoints. It no longer relies on a third-party subscription service for its server list.

The app does not generate or send an installation identifier, hardware serial number, advertising identifier, device model or operating-system version with these catalog requests. The catalog service receives the source IP address, the requested resource, the app name and ordinary request information needed to deliver the response.

Earlier app versions sent a random installation identifier to the server-list service configured at that time. The updated app removes that identifier from its local preferences. Updating the app or deleting local data does not erase records that a previous recipient may already hold.

3. Information processed by a VPN connection

When you connect, traffic covered by the VPN configuration passes through the selected server. Its operator processes network addresses, destinations, connection timing and traffic volume to route the connection. Visibility of traffic content depends on the protection used by the apps and websites you access.

Server and network infrastructure operators may process and retain technical records under their own operational practices. This policy does not make a service-wide promise that no logs exist.

The current connection can use services that look up website addresses outside the VPN route. Those operators receive address-lookup requests. A VPN connection does not remove every security or privacy risk.

4. Information kept on your device

The app stores your language and interface preferences, privacy acceptance, selected server and a cached server list locally. The device VPN configuration also contains the connection settings needed by the selected server.

Connection status and traffic counters are exchanged locally between the app and its VPN extension to show the current session. The app has no analytics upload for these preferences or counters.

Local system diagnostics may contain connection events, server or destination addresses and errors. The app does not automatically upload these diagnostic logs. If you choose to send diagnostics to support, they become part of your support correspondence.

5. Support and privacy messages

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use correspondence to answer the request, troubleshoot the service, handle privacy inquiries, protect the service or meet applicable legal obligations.

Include only information relevant to your request. Do not send passwords, private keys, server-access links or unrelated browsing information.

6. This website

This website stores your chosen language locally in your browser. It has no account form, advertising or analytics scripts, and its fonts and visual assets are hosted with the site.

The hosting infrastructure receives information needed to deliver a page, such as your IP address, requested page and request headers. Hosting access or security records may be retained by the infrastructure operator. We do not specify a retention period for those records on this page.

7. Recipients and retention

GABRY GAMES SRL manages the Serena catalog and VPN nodes used for the operations described above. Infrastructure providers that host or connect these services may process technical connection information, including IP addresses and session information. Website-address lookup, website-hosting and email-service operators also process information when their services are used.

This page does not specify retention periods for server and infrastructure records. The absence of an account or an analytics tool is not a guarantee that no technical records exist. Contact us for information about the records and infrastructure involved in your request.

Support correspondence may be kept for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain appropriate business records, prevent abuse or satisfy legal obligations. Local app preferences remain in device storage until removed or replaced; deleting local data does not delete records held by service or infrastructure operators.

8. Security

The app relies on device protections and the selected connection configuration. No app, VPN connection or online service can guarantee complete security. Keep your device updated and use protected websites and services for sensitive information.

9. Apple and other services

Apple may independently process information about App Store downloads and use under its own terms. Websites, apps, networks and services you access have their own information-handling practices. This policy describes Serena VPN and does not replace those policies.

10. Privacy requests and children

You can contact privacy@serenavpn.app with questions or requests about information associated with your use of Serena VPN or support correspondence, including requests to exercise rights available under applicable law. We may need limited information to locate the relevant records. Do not include access credentials in your initial message.

The app does not ask for your age or create a child profile. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact the same privacy address.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the service or our practices change. The current version and its update date will be published here.
